I: inquire and book! let's chat about your vision for your photos and pick a date! from there, i'll email you a contract and invoice. the non-refundable retainer is 50% of your total package price.

II: location! after we book, we'll brainstorm location ideas together. i have a few spots that i prefer to shoot at, but if we're looking for a different vibe or you have a specific spot in mind, i'm always happy to brainstorm with you and make sure we deliver the photos of your dreams!

III: wardrobe! a lot of people underestimate the importance of what you wear.it can absolutely make or break photos, and that's why i always offer guidance. planning out outfits for families is hard. i spent nights obsessing over it for my own family photos, and i literally do this every day. i'm happy to suggest specific pieces, colors, fabrics, and even stores to help take a little bit of the stress off of your shoulders. i also have a decently sized client closet that you're welcome to use! i have dresses ranging from xs-xxl in women's, and then select pieces for babies, kids, and men! i'm also happy to offer a discounted dress rental option through "don't stress the dress". I will send you dress options that fit the vibe, you pick one, and i handle everything else including pick up and drop off!

IV: check in. two weeks prior to your session date, the remaining balance is due. one week before your scheduled session date, i will check in with you to confirm location and exact time. one day before, i will look at the weather and make sure we're good to go. on the session date, i will generally check in with you in the morning just to confirm time and check the weather. most of the time, if it's raining, we kind of just play it by ear and hope for the best because we do live in the midwest after all. if we do need to reschedule, that's totally fine. i just like to make those calls earlier in the day when possible so you don't have to worry about getting the entire family ready for a session that gets rained out. but don't worry, over the past 5 years, i've had maybe 3-4 weather reschedules, and i've also shot in the rain plenty of times. we do what we have to do!

V: Photo day! you get ready and i'll meet you there! i try to make sessions as easy and painless as possible. i like sessions to flow as organically as possible without interruption by me. but don't worry. if you feel nervous or stuck, i will gently prompt and pose you to where we need to be!

vi: the waiting. this is the worst. i know. and i do my absolute best to get your photos back to you as soon as i can. depending on the time of the year, it generally takes 2-4 weeks.

vii: delivery! oh, glorious day! i will email you your finished gallery. from there you will select your favorites for download! if you can't choose, you're always able to purchase additional single images or upgrade to your entire gallery!
